Today he combines deep SFX experience with a strong understanding of client needs, working both on set and behind the scenes to translate ideas into reliable setups. Alongside production work, he plays an important role in refining internal workflows and studio processes.

    Melvin ensures that the technical backbone of the lab runs smoothly. With a background in IT, camera systems, and event technology, he connects studio infrastructure, camera workflows, and DIT processes. His structured mindset and technical expertise make him the ideal studio manager.

Craft Meets Process

The Fjusion Lab comes from decades of hands-on film craft.
Our roots lie in practical effects and tabletop work — shaped by the legacy of the Effectiv Team, whose pioneering approach to in-camera effects laid the foundation for much of what we do today.
That heritage informs our thinking, but it does not define our limits.

We work the way productions work today: collaborative, flexible, and involved early.
Not to reduce ideas to what is immediately feasible, but to explore them together — openly, constructively, and without narrowing the creative space too soon.

By combining creative thinking with practical experience, we help agencies, brands, and productions shape concepts that are ambitious, producible, and visually strong. Sometimes that leads to complex effects and technical solutions. Sometimes it leads to simple, elegant images. What matters is the result.

Our team brings together SFX artists, rig builders, engineers, and cinematographers who think in images, timing, and material behavior. We work hands-on, test early, and refine continuously — until an idea becomes something that can be filmed with confidence.

The Fjusion Lab is not about selling tools or defining rigid workflows.
It’s about enabling good decisions, clear processes, and strong visuals — whether a project grows from a single effect or evolves into a complete production.
